Happy birthday Daniel. Today is my birthday also born in 1941. I was searching the Internet for history on Nov 15th and I found you. To be honest I have never heard of your great talent. I also have never known any one who had the same birthdate and year as me. I am going to do some research on your books and find some of your wonderful books to enjoy. I am not a writer but I am an amature artist. Go Scorpio. Hope you had a great birthday. I was very blessed to enjoy mine with friends and family. Originally from lake, Michigan, in Naples, Florida for the winter. What a great life we have. Hope you have a great one also. Cheers. Sheila

  3. I just realized that we share a birth day. 1947 for me. I loved your pieces on NPR. I miss them, and you. Happy Birthday.

  4. Dear Daniel Pinkwater,
This is Yam again. I just wanted to wish you a spectacular and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and many grand adventures and great stories in the fresh year.
    Sincerely,
    – Yam

Dear Daniel (I believe you would prefer “Daniel” to Mr. Pinkwater),
I want to add my good wishes for your birthday and coming year. I also miss hearing you on NPR; I looked forward to Saturday mornings and listening to you and Scott Simon chatting, laughing and reading together. I especially miss what had been an annual Christmas reading about our favorite Moose and his café. I have been delighted by your book on dog training, “Uncle Boris” and whatever else I could lay my hands on. You are a true treasure and gift to us all. Best Wishes for a Happy Birthday and a long, healthy and delightful year.
    Sincerely,
    Christine

  6. Happy Birthday DP! Best Regards from the poor slob (me) who had the misfortune to ask a book dealer the value of my DP collection…I’m still living in a tent afraid to show up in public- maybe one day I can rejoin civilization. At least I have something to read! 😉
